Probate, Deceased Estates & Disposals
Probate Valuations
Naturally, dealing with the death of a loved one, then having to undertake the disposal of the deceased estate is a particularly distressing time. Very often our clients look to us to undertake the professional valuation of personal property and arrange for the disposal of items within the deceased estate so that the property is ready, for example, to be put on the market.
I provide a complete service from Probate to Clearance with sensitivity and empathy.
This includes:
-
Valuation of all personal property for Probate in accordance with Section 160 of The Inheritance Tax Act 1984
-
Advice on disposal of personal property within the deceased estate – eg. consignment to a suitable auction
-
Identification, packing and collection of suitable items for consignment to auction
-
Disposal of other goods – eg. to a charity
-
Property clearance prior to sale
Written Valuations
Written valuations are prepared for the purposes of:
-
Inheritance Tax
-
Family Division
A detailed inventory or valuation can prove to be a priceless document for these purposes. The document will contain a detailed description of each item seen, including measurements, distinctive marks and damage.
Every stage is either undertaken by me or managed and supervised by me – personally. This ensures that all items belonging to the Estate are identified, listed and handled professionally – throughout the process.
